After studying design in Russia, I pursued the path of glass sculpture at the Royal College of Art (RCA) in the United Kingdom. Rather than focusing on glass as a practical design object, there is a greater interest in its potential for artistic expression. Inspired by abstraction and geometric structures derived from architecture, there is a preference for expressions close to abstract sculpture. By utilizing casting techniques and following invisible seams, a process where pieces of various colors push and pull against each other, this artist creates space with unexpected results.
